Soebatsfontein Road The two small pictures were taken not far from the turn-off, seen halfway down on the right of the highway in the top picture. All along the gravel road, flowers were scattered in a variety of locations; Gazanias along the shoulder; arrays of flowers among the trees and on rocky islands in fields, as well as groups of great variety between fence and road.  |
Apparently a very popular flower route is along the road to Soebatsfontein and Wallekraal. Many famous flower farms along the way include Grootvlei, Skilpad, Bokskraal, Horees and Baksteenhoek. Soebatsfontein itself is said to have many spring flowers. |
