The first picture is a view back toward the road travelled from Vanrhyn's Pass, taken from halfway up the Pass. Turning a few degrees to the right, the wide expanse of the Knersvlakte could be seen stretching to the horizon.  Protea laurifolia  were seen at the side of the road after the top of the pass, and a little further on, an interesting restios. The red Bulbinella were seen at the Nieuwoudtville Nature Reserve.

A photo of the  second part of the Doorn Waterfall, where the water flows through an opening in the rock to fall about  90 metres. In the shade, a delicate flower at the waterfall. Further north, on the way to Gannabos an area of mostly Karoo-succulent vegetation, followed by another picture of the Kokerboom forest.
